Welcome!   There are over 40 jumpers who have joined this Spring’s skill building session .    It is great to see so many faces who enjoy jumping.

 

Don’t forget it is with practice  and determination that  anyone is able to accomplish their  goals.

In February……., The International Big Sky Film Festival,  presented  a documentary on jump rope called,” Doubletime.”  Gilia Paterson, Tori Stavish, Erin and Riley Williams attended  this presentation.   This film featured  teams that the Super  Skippers compete against.   It was an Awesome Show!

Many of you,  may not know that jump rope is actually a  competitive sport.  There  are the  following organizations:  Double Dutch league,  AAU junior Olympics, and               USA jump rope.   The Montana Super Skippers  are members of USAJR.   The  competitive team  will be competing at Boise, ID April 5th against the  Idaho teams of  the Summerwind Skippers,  Proforme Airborne,  Air   Elite, and Utah’s, Just Jump.

Events at this competition include single rope  and double dutch freestyle, and single rope and double dutch speed.  The top 4 competitors will be allowed to compete at Nationals June 27th in Orlando, FL.

 

The Montana  Super Skippers’ competitive /show  team commits to 5 hours of practice a week and are encouraged to take gymnastics.  These jumpers are also our team leaders and instructors.  It is their commitment to jump rope that allows the Super Skippers to remain a strong team here in Missoula and Montana.

 

Jumpers who have completed level 1, and are interested in what is involved in competitions should call Coach Bev ., 360-9469.

Group Pictures for Sale!

Pictures  will be taken on March 19th!   Jumpers need to wear the their uniforms and shorts.  Don’t forget to pull their hair back.

Cost is $5   This order is prepaid., please.

 

 

Uniforms have been handed out and jumpers may wear these to practice.
